Meet The Team
Why we created Padel Tennis Guide
PTG was created because getting started in padel should feel exciting, not confusing.
The short version
We started PTG to make padel feel more accessible for people who are new to the sport, curious about playing, or unsure where to begin.
Nothing overwhelming — just practical, honest guidance from people who remember what it feels like to start.
How it started
We were beginners too
This is the space for Steph and Jen to tell the fuller story of how PTG came about: how you discovered padel, what you loved, what felt confusing, and why the site needed to exist.
What we noticed
A lot of padel information assumes you already understand the sport. It can be hard to know what matters, what can wait, and what is just noise.
PTG was created to offer something clearer, friendlier and more useful for people at the start of their padel journey.
What we wanted to build
A UK guide that helps people feel confident enough to try padel, find somewhere to play, and keep going once they have started.
A place that supports players, clubs and the wider growth of the sport.
Everything we share comes from experience — the good, the awkward, and the unexpectedly brilliant.
Beginner-first, always
PTG is not here to make padel feel elite, complicated or intimidating. We are here to help more people feel that padel could be for them.
That means we focus on the questions people actually ask before they play: Will I fit in? What do I need? Where do I go? What if I do not know the rules?
Those questions matter. They often decide whether someone tries the sport at all.
What PTG stands for
